The Technical Working Group (TWG) for the North Luzon Eastโ€“West Integrated Corridor Development Initiative convened on July 28โ€“29, 2026, in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya to discuss strategies for strengthening connectivity among the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

During the two-day workshop, the participants from the three regions examined key connectivity gaps and infrastructure bottlenecks that continue to constrain the efficient movement of people, goods, and services. The discussions revolved on identifying common issues, prioritizing interventions to enhance accessibility, strengthen interregional linkages, and support regional development.
As a key output, the TWG formulated a proposed investment agenda and identified priority infrastructure projects and interventions aimed at improving connectivity, fostering economic integration, and promoting sustainable and inclusive development across Northern Luzon.
The meeting also served as the TWGโ€™s first organizational meeting, marking an important milestone in advancing interregional collaboration for integrated infrastructure planning. The initiative lays the groundwork for a more connected, competitive, and resilient Northern Luzon and supports the regionโ€™s long-term growth and development.
